SSC Awards Northrop Grumman More Than $200 Million for Second DARC Radar Site

The U.S. Space Force's Space Systems Command (SSC) at Peterson Space Force Base, Colo., said on Friday that it has awarded Northrop Grumman [NOC] a more than $200 million cost-plus contract for the Deep Space Advanced Radar Capability (DARC) Site 2 in the United Kingdom. Work will include "design, integration, and testing of the second DARC radar site," SSC said. "Work will be performed in Colorado Springs, Colo., and is expected to be completed by Feb. 4, 2030."
