Space Force Awards BAE Systems $1.2 Billion For Epoch 2 Missile Warning And Tracking Satellites

BAE Systems has won a $1.2 billion contract to provide the Space Force with 10 Epoch 2 satellites that will provide global hypersonic missile tracking as part of a larger missile warning capability, Space Systems Command (SSC) said on Tuesday. The fixed-price award was made on May 29 using an Other Transaction Authority agreement, SSC said. First delivery of an Epoch 2 spacecraft is planned for fiscal year 2029.
