Southern California aerospace industry continues to lose jobs

Southern California's aerospace industry continued a nearly decade-long slide in employment in 2,014, losing another 1,200 jobs, as employment fell to 85,500. One of the few brights spots was San Diego County, where employment has grown by almost 5,000 positions over the past decade, largely due to the unmanned aerial system businesses run by Northrop Grumman and General Atomics.
