Under the agreement, Saab will continue supplying aerial target services with aircraft especially equipped for the various types of exercises required by the Swedish  armed forces. Operations involve a comprehensive undertaking with Saab chiefly providing electronic warfare and target towing flight operations. The agreement also includes maintenance and modification of aircraft and equipment.

Lars-Erik Wige, head of Saab’s Support and Services business area, said: “Our close collaboration in this field goes back many years and the agreement is of major significance for our operations in Nyköping.”

Saab has conducted aerial target operations in Nyköping since 1986 and also offers these services on the international market.
