RTX Nabs $2.1 Billion Contract For LTAMDS Radar, Includes Funds For Poland FMS Case

The Army has awarded RTX [RTX] a $2.1 billion low-rate initial production contract for the Lower Tier Air and Missile Defense System (LTAMDS), the service’s new radar for the Patriot air defense system. The Pentagon on Wednesday evening noted $815.9 million was obligated at the time of award, to include funds covering a foreign military sales case with Poland. Work on the new LRIP deal is expected to be completed by the end of November 2028, according to the department.…
