Relativity Space Plans West Coast Launch Site, Signs Contract to Send Iridium NEXT Satellites Into Space

Relativity Space, a Los Angeles-based space startup using 3D-printing and artificial intelligence techniques to build launchers, has signed a right of entry agreement (RoE) with the Air Force’s 30th Space Wing in the first step to eventually launch rockets from Vandenberg Air Force Base, California. The RoE allows the Air Force and Relativity to begin assessing the viability of conducting launch operations on part of Vandenberg’s launch facilities, the company said in a June 24 press release.
