Raytheon [RTN] has acquired Trusted Computer Solutions (TCS), a firm specializing in cross domain, operating system and network security solutions, notching its seventh acquisition in the cyber security space over the last three years. Terms of the deal were not disclosed although Raytheon said it would not have a material impact to its sales or earnings in the fourth quarter of 2010 or in 2011. Northern Virginia-based TCS provides cross-domain and cyber security software and services that enable organizations to manage and share information securely across multiple classification levels and domains. Its products allow customers to protect themselves against a range of threats and ensure confidential and secure sharing and collaboration. TCS will be integrated into Raytheon’s Intelligence and Information Systems (IIS) segment within the Information Security Solutions product line. Last month Raytheon acquired Technology Associates, Inc. (TA), a small privately-owned firm specializing in data extraction and analysis, digital media intercept and exploitation, embedded system programming, and information assurance services for the intelligence community. Terms of that deal weren’t disclosed but TA had $21.3 million in sales last year and $18.9 million in 2008. TA is also being integrated into the IIS segment.
