Interjet Announces It’s Expanding Service to South America

Special round trip introductory fares are now available for new service between Mexico and Medellín, Colombia, Guayaquil, Ecuador and Lima, Peru with convenient connections to and from major U.S. markets

MEXICO CITY, April 10, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — Interjet Airlines announced today, it was expanding service from Mexico to several South America destinations including Medellín, Colombia, Guayaquil, Ecuador and Lima, Peru. These new flights will serve both the business and leisure traveler expanding Interjet’s footprint into South America.

South America is a growing and significant market for both business and leisure travel, said Julio Gamero, Interjet’s Chief Commercial Officer. “With our expanded service, passengers to and from these destinations can now have convenient connections in Mexico City to New York City, Chicago and Dallas/Ft. Worth in the U.S. along with easy connections to Toronto and Montreal in Canada,” he added.

As an example, Interjet’s new service to Medellín, Colombia begins June 5, 2019, and will operate using Airbus A320 aircraft seating 150 passengers. Round trip promotional fares between the U.S., Canada, and Medellin, will start as low $350.00 taxes included. These special fares with be available for purchase until June 30, 2019, and valid for travel from June 5, 2019, through November 30, 2019. Promotional fares are not available to groups nor can they be used with other promotional fares.
