Engility wins prime spot on $249 million Department of Defense medical and logistics contract

CHANTILLY, Va., Oct. 29, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — Engility Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: EGL) won a prime contractor position on the DOD Joint Enterprise – Omnibus Program, Engineering, and Technical Support – Logistics & Medical contract. This multiple award, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract has a ceiling value of $249 million. The company will assist the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense in serving as the total life cycle systems manager for chemical and biological defense programs with the DOD.

Engility will bid on task orders to provide professional, logistics and medical solutions in support of the DOD around the world. Professional support can include program management and technical expertise. Logistics work would include support associated with development, production, fielding and maintenance and sustainment of a JPEO-CBRND program of record.  Medical support may include product concept and design, and policy and protocol development of all JPEO-CBRND systems relating to biologics, vaccines and pharmaceuticals.

The contract has a five-year base period of performance and a one-year option, with a possible additional six month option.
