PR Newswire

RONKONKOMA, N.Y., Dec. 20, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — Long Island, New York based-electronics distributor and Rockwood portfolio company BJG Electronics, Inc. (BJG), along with its affiliates, announced today the acquisition of Whitmor/Wirenetics. Headquartered in Valencia, California, Whitmor/Wirenetics has been a leading provider of high-performance wire, cable and tubing to the military, aerospace and satellite industries for more than 50 years.

This is the second addition to the BJG Electronics Group this year. In April, the company acquired Connector Tech LLC, a Montana-based value-added distributor of high-reliability electronic interconnect products.

In conjunction with the transaction, BJG announced that Rick Flora, formerly President of BJG Electronics, Inc., has been named CEO of the BJG Electronics Group.

“The combination of BJG, CTL and Whitmor/Wirenetics completes the evolution of BJG from a regional connector specialist to one of the largest full-line distributors of mil-aero interconnect components in North America,” said Flora. “The combined BJG Electronics Group line card now offers a true ‘one-stop’ solution for OEMs, harness houses and box builders in the military, aerospace and related harsh environment markets.”

“Joining the BJG Group of Companies allows us to leverage significant cross-selling opportunities from both geographic and product standpoints,” said Mark Lee, Vice President of Whitmor/Wirenetics. “We now have a comprehensive product set and infrastructure in place to serve customers coast-to-coast, including wire and cable, connectors, backshells and related value-added services.”

The wide-ranging, combined product and service set offered by the BJG Electronics Group of companies is expected to deliver customer value by providing best-choice solutions. BJG’s large supplier community also is expected to benefit from the platform provided by the combined BJG inventory and infrastructure.
