The president has nominated Navy Rear Adm. Nancy Norton to serve as director of the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and commander of the Joint Forces Headquarters-Department of Defense Information Network.
Norton is currently serving as DISA’s vice director, a role she began in August, where she oversees the agency’s effort to build a mobile and maneuverable joint DoD network and deliver IT and cyber tools to the services.
Before her DISA nomination, she was the Navy’s Director of Warfare Integration for Information Warfare.
Norton will succeed Lt. Gen. Alan Lynn, who has served as DISA director since July 2015.
