The Navy awarded two contracts for Navy aircraft worth hundreds of millions of dollars each on Thursday for the F-35 and P-8A aircraft.The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) awarded Lockheed Martin [LMT] a $558 million contract for the sustainment support, including equipment, training devices, training facilities, non-aircraft spares, various hardware and software, and facilities support for low-rate initial production (LRIP) Lot 11 F-35 aircraft.The work covers F-35s bound for the Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, non-Defense Department participants, and foreign military…
