Muon Space Adds $90 Million In Funding Round; Acquires Spacecraft Propulsion Startup

Satellite developer and manufacturer Muon Space on Thursday said it has closed an oversubscribed $89.5 million Series B1 funding round, bringing its total Series B round to $146 million as it continues to scale operations. The Silicon Valley-based company also said it has acquired propulsion startup Starlight Engines, which it said is developing the first commercially available solid propellant Hall-effect thruster, adding an in-house propulsion capability as it vertically integrates its Halo satellite platform.
