Molecular Products Group, a portfolio company of Arlington Capital Partners

, on Monday said it has acquired O.C. Lugo Company in a deal that adds capabilities in the U.S. for chemical oxygen generator manufacturing and expands its presence with the U.S. Navy.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

O.C. Lugo, which is based in Pennsylvania, says it is the primary contractor of emergency oxygen systems for the Navy. The company’s products are used in military, petrochemical and marine markets.

Molecular Products is based in England where it has chemical oxygen generator manufacturing capacity in addition to manufacturing operations in Colorado. The company designs and manufactures advanced respirator products, carbon dioxide removal systems and absorbers, products for industrial gas processing, oxygen generators, for the defense, medical, safety, gas processing, mining and diving markets.

“The acquisition of the O.C. Lugo Company expands Molecular Products’ relationship with the U.S. Navy and brings U.S.-based chemical oxygen generator manufacturing capability to the group,” Troy Rhudy, CEO of Molecular Products, told Defense Daily in an email response to questions. “As the world leader for chemical oxygen generation used for atmosphere conditioning in submarines and other enclosed environments, our combined team is well positioned to support the demands of the submarine community across the globe.”
