ManTech International [MANT] this week said it has acquired TranTech, Inc., a provider of information technology (IT), networking and cyber security services to the federal government that has a prime contract position on a key Pentagon information services program.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The acquisition will enable ManTech to deliver services through TranTech’s prime contract position on the Defense Information Systems Agency’s (DISA) ENCORE II contract, an indefinite delivery contract vehicle with a $12 billion ceiling that runs through 2018.

“As DISA and the U.S. Cyber Command seek to protect and secure defense networks and information, we see a substantial pipeline of opportunities to provide a full range of innovative information technology, networking and cyber solutions through the ENCORE II vehicle and other contracts,” Louis Addeo, president of ManTech’s Technical Services Group, said in a statement.

TranTech also has contracts with the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Department of Commerce, and other customers. The company also gives ManTech additional capabilities in network engineering, network operations and information assurance.

TranTech will be integrated into ManTech’s Technical Services Group.

ManTech said the acquisition would be accretive to its earnings this year. TranTech had less than $20 million in sales last year. The company didn’t use a financial adviser on the deal.
