Losing Bidders Protest Award of Decade-Long DoE Nuke-Site Management Contract

Groups led by BWX Technologies [BWXT] and Bechtel National have protested the Department of Energy National Nuclear Security Administration’s (NNSA) decision to award management and operations of the agency’s two main nuclear-weapons production sites to the Fluor [FLR]-led Nuclear Production One. The Government Accountability Office filed notices online Monday that Strategic Nuclear Operators — which web searches show shares an address in Lynchburg, Va., with other BWX Technologies-affiliated groups — and Integrated Mission Delivery, had lodged protests.
