Lockheed Martin [LMT] last week beat out General Dynamics [GD] for an $11.8 million cost-plus-incentive-fee, cost-plus- fixed-fee contract to provide Trident II (D-5) strategic systems programs shipboard systems integration, according to the Pentagon.

Under the terms of the contract, Lockheed Martin will provide; strategic weapon system navigation subsystems; systems design and development; and electrostatically supported gyro navigator refresh, according to the contract announcement.

The contract contains options which, if exercised, will bring the total contract value to $230 million.
