Lockheed Martin Receives Sustainment Contract for Navy MUOS

The Navy has awarded Lockheed Martin [LMT] a $112.7 million cost-plus-award-fee, firm-fixed-price, Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract for Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) space segment sustainment, the service said on March 25. MUOS is a narrowband military satellite communications system comprising five geosynchronous satellites and four geographically dispersed relay ground stations that provide net-centric communications capabilities while supporting legacy terminals.
