Lithuania Orders Additional Saab RBS 70 Simulators

The Lithuanian Armed Forces ordered RBS 70 simulators from Saab to be delivered in 2018, the company said Tuesday.The contract includes simulators, training services, and spare parts. Saab is set to work with the Lithuanian-based Baltic Institute of Advanced Technology (BPTI) on the integration of customized 3D maps onto the RBS 70 simulators to help visualize real operational environments for Lithuanian forces. The quantity under the contract was not disclosed.The RBS 70 itself is a short-range man-portable air-defense system (MANPADS)…
