U.S. Special Operations Command has said that Black Arrow, flight tested from an Air Force Special Operations Command AC-130J last November, may become operational in late fiscal 2026 (Defense Daily, Oct. 4, 2024). USSOCOM awarded Leidos a contract in December 2024 to continue expanding the flight envelope and utility of Black Arrow through 2025.
