Iraq Aug. 19 became the 179th state to sign the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty (CTBT), the treaty organization says. "We welcome the decision by Iraq to sign the CTBT," Tibor Toth, executive secretary of the Preparatory Commission for the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO) said in a statement.
