ICx Adapts Fido for Maritime Use

ICx Technologies [ICXT] has adapted its lightweight Fido explosives detection system for maritime use under a $2 million contract the company received from the Department of Homeland Security in late 2006. ICx says the Fido Scout has been adapted by the Coast Guard Marine Safety and Security Team for wide-area explosives detection in harsh, maritime environments.
