Honeywell [HON] and Near Earth Autonomy have completed the first flight test of their autonomous Leonardo AW139 helicopter offering for the Marine Corps’ Aerial Logistics Connector (ALC) program, the firms announced Tuesday at the Paris Air Show. The companies described the recent test as a “major milestone” in their work on the ALC effort, adding it demonstrated the “feasibility of uncrewed, autonomous aircraft capable of operating in contested environments without an onboard pilot or remote operator.” “Not only is this…
