The Navy has awarded a Huntington Ingalls Industries [HII] subsidiary a contract to support hull, mechanical and electrical machinery and systems on Navy and other federal vessels, the company said yesterday.
The contract with AMSEC is indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity and cost-plus-fixed-fee. If all four one-year options are exercised it could reach a total value of $92 million.
The work will take place primarily in Norfolk, San Diego and Mayport, Fla. The contracting activity is being done by the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Carderock Division, Ship Systems Engineering Station, Philadelphia Detachment.
