GPS Satellite Launches Successfully

A Delta II rocket lofted a new Global Positioning System (GPS) satellite into orbit, rising from Space Launch Complex 17A at Cape Canaveral Air Force Base, Fla. The NAVSTAR GPS IIR-20 (M) satellite will add to an already large constellation of the U.S. navigation system. That Delta II is supplied by United Launch Alliance, a joint venture of The Boeing Co.
