GPS Block IIR-M Satellite Launched On Delta II From Cape Canaveral

A Global Positioning System Block IIR-M satellite was launched into orbit on a United Launch Alliance (ULA) Delta II rocket from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Lockheed Martin Corp. [LMT] announced. Lockheed built the satellite, and is half of the ULA joint venture with The Boeing Co. [BA]. The Delta II is formerly a Boeing launch vehicle.
