GD To Unveil Pandur SHORAD, Eyeing Army’s Interest In Lighter Platform To Protect Troops

General Dynamics Land Systems [GD] next week will unveil a version of the Pandur 6X6 combat vehicle outfitted with a short range air defense (SHORAD) capability, which it sees as a solution to meet the Army’s potential requirement for a lighter platform to protect dismounted maneuver forces. Ray Moldovan, a U.S. business development manager for GD Land Systems, told Defense Daily the decision to pursue the Pandur SHORAD concept followed the Army’s release of a Request for Information last year…
