The Government Accountability Office said Monday it had rejected a BAE Systems protest challenging a task order award for technical and staff services for the Pentagon’s outfit designed to defeat improvised explosive devices.
Earlier this year, the General Services Administration issued the task order to the Wexford Group International, a subsidiary of
CACI International [CACI], to provide technical and staff services support to the Pentagon’s Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization, or JIEDDO.
BAE alleged that its proposal was improperly declared technically unacceptable in part because of the under qualifications of the personnel BAE offered, and also alleged bias. GAO rejected the protest on both points.
The GAO found that GSA did not improperly disqualify BAE’s proposal and said the company did not provide “convincing proof” of bias.
