Fairbanks Morse To Acquire Rolls-Royce Naval Propulsors And Handling Business

Fairbanks Morse Defense (FMD) on Thursday said it has agreed to acquire Rolls-Royce’s naval business that supplies propellers, waterjets, and mission bay handling systems in a deal that expands its offerings and complements the Wisconsin-based company’s current product portfolio. Terms of the deal, which is expected to close in spring 2025, were not disclosed. The Rolls-Royce business has about 400 employees. The new business will be transformative for FMD, the company said.
