F/A-XX and Frigate Future Not Yet Decided In Navy’s FY 2026 Budget Request

The Defense Department’s fiscal year 2026 budget request has limited spending on the Navy’s next-generation fighter program, F/A-XX, to the minimal needed to finish the design while allocating no funds on the delayed Constellation-class frigate, awaiting administration decisions on both programs.
