The head of U.S. European Command agreed with the leaders of the House Armed Services Committee on Tuesday that the U.S. should not reduce its troop presence on the continent, amid reports the Trump administration is considering such a move. Army Gen. Christopher Cavoli, the EUCOM chief who also serves NATO’s Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR), said the U.S. should maintain the force posture level that DoD surged following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022. “I have consistently recommended throughout…
