Equipment Costs Account For A Quarter of $900 Billion War Tab, Analysis Finds

By Marina Malenic The United States has spent just over $900 billion on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and that number is likely to climb to well over $1 trillion by the time those conflicts are concluded, according to a new analysis. The final price for the wars will be between $1.3 trillion and $1.7 trillion by 2018, according to a report released yesterday by the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Asessments.
