Elbit Systems Wins $70 Million Israeli Contract For Airborne Electronic Warfare Systems

The Israeli Ministry of Defense awarded Elbit Systems a $70 million contract to supply airborne electronic warfare (EW) systems, the company said Dec. 28.The systems, developed by the company’s EW and SIGINT (signals intelligence) unit Elisra, are set to be delivered over a five-year period and will be installed on board all types of Israeli Air Force fighter jets, Elbit said.The Institute for National Security Studies (INSS), an independent Israeli security research institute, estimates Israel has 426 F-15 and F-16…
