Elbit Acquires BAE’s Rokar GPS Solutions Business

Israel’s Elbit Systems [ELST] on Thursday said it has acquired Rokar International from BAE Systems, Inc. for $31 million, pulling in a key supplier of GPS receivers and guidance systems used in Elbit’s products. “There is increasing demand for our networked precision fire solutions,” Bezhalel Machlis, Elbit’s president and CEO, said in a statement. “Rokar’s technologies are integrated into our solutions and the acquisition will further enhance our capabilities in this growing area of activity.” Rokar is based in Jerusalem…
