Editor's Note: A story in the April 24 edition of Defense Daily reported, based on official remarks released by the Pentagon, the first use the Joint Air to Surface Standoff Missile Extended Range (JASSM-ER) during the recent strike in Syria. The Pentagon later clarified that the JASSMs used in the strike were the baseline version, not JASSM-ERs.
