DNDO Solicits for Advanced Radiation Monitoring Device

The Domestic Nuclear Detection Office (DNDO) has issued a Broad Agency Announcement for an Advanced Radiation Monitoring Device. The agency is seeking innovative research and development that will exploit emerging scintillation detection materials and photon-to-electron conversion technologies to create new core sensors for a family of advanced nuclear detection capabilities. Supported capabilities will include compact personal spectroscopic radiation detectors, urban or tactical unattended ground sensors networks and/or creating large area arrays of small detector units.
