The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology (S&T) Directorate has issued two Broad Agency Announcements (BAA) seeking research proposals related to scanning technologies to find explosives on palletized air cargo and in shoes. For palletized cargo, BAA10-19 for palletized air cargo is seeking proposals for the development of equipment for screening cargo consolidated onto pallets (40" x 48" by 60" and up to 3,500 pounds) for the presence of improvised explosive devices.
