DHS S&T Issues BAA for Biothreat Agent Detection

The Department of Homeland Security, Science and Technology (S&T) Directorate, Chemical Biological Division, has issued a Broad Agency Announcement for bacterial biothreat agent detection, surveillance and identification research. Awards are planned in FY '10. The BAA seeks research and development proposals in multiple focus areas, specifically for the purposes of recovering, extracting and preserving the antigenic signature of the agents from their associated samples, and detecting and identifying the presence of bacterial biothreat agents present in these samples using non-immunological…
