The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has issued a draft Request for Information (RFI) seeking ideas from industry to help overcome challenges to the National Information Exchange Model (NIEM) program. The NIEM was begun in 2005 between DHS and the Department of Justice to address the Homeland Security Presidential Directive (HSPD-5) on information sharing.
