Denmark Hands AeroVironment Order For Small UAVs

Denmark has awarded a $9.6 million contract to acquire AeroVironment’s [AVAV] Puma unmanned aerial vehicles, the company said yesterday. AeroVironment will supply the 13-pound Puma AE systems designed for land-and maritime-based intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) operations to the Danish Armed Forces. It was the second contract AeroVironment received during the Eurosatory exposition in Paris, preceded by a Swedish purchase of Puma and the smaller Wasp air vehicles.
