The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) last Thursday selected five entities across the U.S. to help it commercialize and scale early-stage technologies the agency funds within the Defense Department’s critical technology areas. The selectees are the early-stage investor Capital Factory in Austin, Texas, CIMIT, based out of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston and focused on health innovation, Hyperion Technologies’ FedTech, based in Arlington, Va., helps bring emerging innovations to market, SRI International, a non-profit research institute in Menlo Park,…
