Curtiss-Wright Acquires Industrial Defense Component Manufacturer

Curtiss-Wright Corp. [CW] has acquired solenoid-based component manufacturer South Bend Controls for $10 million, boosting its portfolio of highly engineered valves and regulators. Indiana-based South Bend supplies components to the aerospace, defense, industrial and medial markets. The deal gives Curtiss-Wright a leadership position in the aerospace and defense industry for solenoid-based valves.
