Cook County Jail Acquires L-3’s Whole Body Imaging System

L-3 Communications [LLL] says that Cook County, Ill., Department of Corrections has purchased 10 of the company's ProVision Whole Body Imaging Systems following a trial period. During the trail ProVision was used at the Cook County Jail's Level 1 intake facility to screen prisoners for weapons, drugs and other contraband. The Department of Corrections houses nearly 10,000 inmates and transports up to 1,500 people from local outlying district courts every day.
