General Dynamics Mission Systems Inc., Pittsfield, Massachusetts, is awarded a $14,490,844 cost-plus-fixed-fee term modification to previously awarded contract N6339421C0007 to exercise an option for design agent services in support of the Independence variant Littoral Combat Ship. The Independence Variant Combat System consists of the Integrated Combat Management System and its interfaces, command, control, communications, computers, combat systems, and intelligence elements. Work will be performed in San Diego, California, and is expected to be completed by July 2024. Fiscal 2023 operation and maintenance (Navy) funds in the amount of $903,455 (64%); fiscal 2023 other procurement (Navy) funds in the amount of $428,800 (30%); and fiscal 2022 other procurement (Navy) funds in the amount of $79,338 (6%) will be obligated at the time of award and $903,455 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
