Rapiscan Nabs $5M Order for RTT EDS Systems
OSI Systems [OSIS] says its Rapiscan Systems division has received a $5 million order from an international customer to provide multiple units of its Real Time Tomography fixed-gantry 110 explosive detection system. The system is designed to provide automated threat detection of bags at rate up to 1,800 items per hour. The RTT 110 has passed the European Union Standard 3 requirement for hold baggage screening under the European Civil Aviation Conference Common Evaluation Protocol for EDS, the highest standards for explosives detection performance.
Kratos Announces $26M in Critical Infrastructure Security Awards
Kratos Defense & Security Solutions [KTOS] says it has received $26 million in new critical infrastructure security awards, including the deployment of a specialized comprehensive security system for a major mass transit authority in the U.S. Under the contract Kratos will design, engineer, deploy and integrate into command and control systems specialized security systems and assets, including video surveillance, access control, physical asset protection and other security elements. The names of the customers were not disclosed.
DHS Awards BAH $2M to Continue Support for First Responder’s Group
Booz Allen Hamilton [BAH] has received a potential five-month, $2.1 million task order to continue to provide systems engineering and technical assistance services to the Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology Directorate’s First Responders’ Group. Booz Allen currently provides on-site assistance across the broad scope of the FRG’s activities. A new competitive contract is expected to be awarded on Feb. 26.
ICTS International Awarded Security Contracts at Schiphol Airport
ICTS International, N.V. says its Dutch subsidiary I-SEC Netherlands B.V. has been awarded two major five-year security contracts at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AAS), the company says. The value of the contracts, which both include two one-year options, was not disclosed. I-SEC has been providing passenger security screening services to AAS for the past six years. The new award expands the scope of activities to include additional security services.
