Commerce Department Finalizes CHIPS Act Awards To BAE, Rocket Lab

The Department of Commerce on Monday said it has finalized awards to BAE Systems and Rocket Lab [RKLB] to incentivize domestic semiconductor capabilities using funding provided by the CHIPS and Science Act. The up to $35.5 million direct funding for BAE and $23.9 million for Rocket Lab was previously announced when the Commerce Dept. signed preliminary memorandum terms with both companies (Defense Daily, Dec. 11, 2023 and June 11, 2024).
