CGI Closes Acquisition of Stanley

Canada's CGI Group [GIB] yesterday said it has completed its $1.1 billion purchase of Stanley, Inc., significantly boosting its presence in the United States federal contracting market. CGI first announced the deal in May and said it would double its presence in the U.S. federal space, particularly serving the defense and intelligence markets where it barely has visibility (Defense Daily, May 11).
