Canada Commits $8.5 Billion For 65 Lockheed Martin F-35s

Canada has committed approximately $8.5 billion for the acquisition of 65 Lockheed Martin [LMT] F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighters (JSF) as the country looks to replace its fleet of aging CF-18 Hornets, the Canadian government said. The CF-18 is expected to reach the end of its operational life in the 2017-2020 time frame.
