USSOCOM Seeks Information on Biometrics for Sensitive Site Exploitation
U.S. Special Operations Command has issued a Request for Information for handheld multimodal biometric devices and rapid DNA devices. USSOCOM says the information may be used in the development of its acquisition strategy, statement of work, and performance specifications. USSOCOM’s program office for sensitive site exploitation is interested in hardware and equipment solutions at least at Technical Readiness Level 8 and that can be demonstrated in the field. Specifically, the handheld biometrics device would collect, capture, match and store biometric data to include face and iris, and integrate with FBI Appendix F certified contact collections with non-contact fingerprint collections that support high confidence exemplar automated matching. For the DNA capability, the program office seeks innovative means to rapidly perform DNA sequencing and analysis that is capable of processing DNA samples to obtain a possible match/no-match solution against onboard watchlists and supports query against authoritative databases. USSOCOM plans to host a demonstration in Tampa, Fla. around April 1. Notice ID: RFI_SSE_BiometricsCapabilities2022. Respond by Feb. 28. Contact: PMO SSE, [email protected].
