Denmark’s Brüel & Kjær and Sikorsky Aircraft Corp. [UTX] said this week they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen industrial cooperation between the two companies.

Sikorsky is bidding its MH-60R Seahawk helicopter to replace the Danish military Lynx helicopters. Finmecccanica’s AgustaWestland manufactures the Lynx.

The MoU is contingent on the decision by the Danish government to procure the Seahawk.

A framework for cooperation that will promote and enhance the business interests of both parties is set out in the MoU.

Brüel & Kjær and Sikorsky have agreed to explore, identify and discuss areas of mutual interest and, in the event of Sikorsky being awarded the program, to enter into a subcontractor agreement.
